A/Prof Anand Kulkari
Dr. Anand V. Kulkarni is a senior consultant and director of critical care hepatology at the Asian Institute of Gastroenterology, Hyderabad, India. He has completed his DM in Hepatology & Liver Transplantation from the Institute of Liver and Biliary Sciences (ILBS), Delhi where he was awarded the academic excellence award. He has received travel grant awards from the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) and Department of Biotechnology (DBT). He was awarded thrice from AASLD (fellow research award in 2017, young investigator award in 2021 and 2022). He has more than 140 PubMed-indexed publications to his credit. He is the associate editor of the Journal of Clinical and Experimental Hepatology and the Indian Journal of Gastroenterology. He is an editorial board member of the American Journal of Gastroenterology and Hepatology Communications and is an active reviewer for several other journals. He was recently named among the world’s top 2% most cited authors. His main areas of research focus include alcohol-associated hepatitis, ACLF, HCC and LDLT.
