Leading with accessibility

MCEC celebrates diversity and provide an inclusive experience for all guests by working with us to accommodate wheelchair access, assistance animals, interpreters, safe spaces, prayer rooms, and all gender toilets. Click here to view further details on the accessibility and action plan.

Journey to net zero

  • Support local: 100-Mile Menu sources ingredients from nearby farms and markets, backing Victorian food producers and lowering our carbon footprint.

  • Homegrown goodness: 36 'food cubes' in the Courtyard, growing herbs, citrus, and flowers for catering.

  • Reusable focus: MCEC offers reusable Eco Boxes over disposable lunch boxes. We replace disposable coffee cups with reusable steel ones at catered events.

  • Food rescue: Leftover food goes to community partner OzHarvest. In 2022, MCEC donated 16,280 meals, saving over 8 tonnes of food from landfill.
